FRAME DOCUMENTATION

Controller architecture

How Frame Controllers interface with equipment, retain local behavior, and communicate with the control plane.

01

Hardware boundary

Sensors and actuators are exposed through explicit adapters. GPIO, serial, USB, and relay operations are mapped to narrow operations rather than arbitrary scripts.

02

Connectivity

Controllers establish outbound authenticated sessions over available networks, report heartbeats, and buffer telemetry when upstream services are unavailable.

03

Command lifecycle

A command is validated, checked for expiry and replay, executed by an allowlisted handler, acknowledged, and recorded.

04

Failure states

Watchdogs, local state, backoff, bounded queues, and safe defaults determine behavior during power, network, or upstream failures.
